I cannot believe how easy it was to learn to drive with Simon. He always picked me up on time from school or home and planned the lessons so I knew what we would be doing. When I first drove on a real road I was so scared but he talked me through each step so it all fell into place quickly. Soon I was driving round junctions and islands and reversing, and each step was done with pictures so I knew what to do. Simon keeps a logbook of each session so he knows exactly what we needed to do at the next lesson. He was really professional and made each lesson fun and interesting, and he explained everything so it was easy to understand. As well as just getting ready for the test we did all sorts of advanced stuff like practicing for motorways on a big dual carriageway, so when I did the test it seemed easy. Now I use my car every day for college – I wouldn’t be able to get there so easily without it.

I started having lessons with Simon after my sister passed with him (she had failed 4 times before with other instructors and she said he was the best by far). Simon was really helpful and explained everything to me using all sorts of diagrams and examples so it was really easy to understand. He was very calm in the car and patient when I made mistakes. When I had problems with one manoeuvre he took photos of each step so I knew what I was supposed to be doing. The car was great – not too big but spacious inside with a good view out and air con to keep us cool. It was very comfortable and quiet. Before I knew it he was getting me ready for my test. I never thought I would pass first time but I did – all the preparation paid off and despite my nerves it was over quickly and the examiner was handing me my pass certificate. This meant a lot to me because I want to help with the family business and sometimes there was a lot of pressure on me to pass, but Simon really understood and got me through it. Now I have passed I will miss my regular lessons with Simon – I always looked forward to them – but I have now booked my Pass Plus with him to learn about motorways, get my insurance down and do some more advanced driving.
